"Books are Saviors"~Self Portrait. 22x 30". Prints available. Watercolor, colored pencil, and ink. Copyright 2009.
If you can see, there is a story in the background of the piece. Generally it's about this girl who got so engulfed by reality that she had no time to read (which she loved to do). But when it got too much, the books came and rescued her from a life that was going down a stressful, unnecessary path.
"Dragon Keeper". 11x14". Prints available. Graphite on bristle. Copyright 2010.
Especially with this piece being the first of many wonderful ideas, Julie Bell and Borris Vallejo have wonderful works that I have learned to fall in love with. Having their work as references to my pieces, I've found that I have learned more about drawing than I have ever absorbed before. They are like teachers I've never met and I truly wish to thank them in person for their wonderful work that inspires me so much!
"Horse". 14"x 11". Print and original available. Graphite. Copyright 2009.
For all the viewers: If one may put me in some kind of specialty category, horses would be it. If you desire horse portraiture, I can do that. A picture reference is needed of coarse, but commissions I do for a fair price.
Abstract Self Portrait. 18"x 24". Charcoal, graphite, ink, broken mirror pieces. Prints and Original available. Copyright 2008.
When one first looks at this piece, one may interpret that I was going through a "broken" time in my life. But that is far from the case. I broke a mirror and decided to use it in a project in my class. Good way to use a mirror I think
"Caveman"~Portraying Francisco Aiello. 25"x 22". Watercolor and graphite. Copyright 2008
This piece is fairly old and one of my first when it comes to attempting to control the wild ways of the watercolor medium. But, none the less, it is an interesting portrayal of my friend who, if one may guess from this piece, is obsessed with working out.
